Centrifugal barrier and super-Keplerian rotation in protostellar disc formation

چکیده
With the advent of ALMA, it is now possible to observationally constrain how disks form around deeply embedded protostars. In particular, recent ALMA C3H2 line observations nearby protostar L1527 have been interpreted as evidence for so-called "centrifugal barrier," where protostellar envelope infall gradually decelerated a stop by centrifugal force in region super-Keplerian rotation. To test concept barrier, which was originally based on angular momentum conserving-collapse rotating particle fixed point mass, we carry out simple axisymmetric hydrodynamic simulations disk formation including minimum set ingredients: self-gravity, rotation, and prescribed viscosity that enables accrete. We find can indeed exist when relatively large but, unlike classic picture infalling material not solely force. The has more specific than its surrounding material, points an origin outward transport (subject constraint expansion envelope), rather spin-up envisioned falls closer center order conserve momentum. For smaller viscosities, rotation weaker or non-existing. conclude that, despite existence some parameter regime, barrier supported our simulations.

Numerical simulations of protostellar encounters II . Coplanar disc - disc encounters
It is expected that an average protostar will undergo at least one impulsive interaction with a neighbouring protostar whilst a large fraction of its mass is still in a massive, extended disc. Such interactions must have a significant impact upon the evolution of the protostars and their discs. We have carried out a series of simulations of coplanar encounters between two stars, each possessing...
متن کاملsimulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water
abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
Thrombus Formation in Centrifugal Pumps
Three centrifugal flow pumps; the Biomedicus BP80, the Sarns Delphin and the Aries Lifestream 2100, were evaluated in vitro to determine each pump's individual tendencies for thrombus formation. Thrombogenic surfaces in the circuit were minimized by using heparin coated tubing and connectors. The centrifugal pumps, which were not heparin bonded, were placed in line in a circuit which consisted ...
متن کاملProtostellar Collapse Induced by Compression. II: Rotation and Fragmentation
We investigate numerically and semi-analytically the collapse of low-mass, rotating prestellar cores. Initially, the cores are in approximate equilibrium with low rotation (the initial ratio of thermal to gravitational energy is α0 ≃ 0.5, and the initial ratio of rotational to gravitational energy is β0 = 0.02 to 0.05). They are then subjected to a steady increase in external pressure. Fragment...
متن کاملCluster Formation in Protostellar Outflow-Driven Turbulence
Most, perhaps all, stars go through a phase of vigorous outflow during formation. We examine, through 3D MHD simulation, the effects of protostellar outflows on cluster formation. We find that the initial turbulence in the clusterforming region is quickly replaced by motions generated by outflows. The protostellar outflow-driven turbulence (“protostellar turbulence” for short) can keep the regi...
